When the local bad girl gets paired with a lonely gay boy, sparks fly, wheels spin, and the good times roll! Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma, is an uncomfortable home to two social outcasts who couldn’t be more different. Danielle (Juno Temple, KABOOM) is the wild child party girl, desperate to make connections one backseat date at a time. Clarke (Jeremy Dozier) is the frumpy closet case, constantly plugged into his Walkman and worshipping at the altar of 80s pop divas. When the two are paired up to form a family for a homework assignment, they ease into an unexpected friendship. But their bond is threatened when Clarke’s homophobic dad decides to ship his son off to military school, and Danielle’s broken home life becomes too much to bear. The two take off in search of a man they’ve never met: Danielle’s real father, who she has recently learned is living in bucolic Fresno, California. With their parents (Dwight Yoakam, Milla Jovovich, and Mary Steenburgen) and police in hot pursuit, Danielle and Clarke hit the highway for a wild road trip full of action, laughs, and a very sexy male stripper.
