Having escaped New York for small-town Connecticut, prep-school teacher Michael (Jason Butler Harner) takes a special interest in Jason, a troubled student but avoids his own failing relationship with hunky Daniel (Cheyenne Jackson from Glee, Broadway’s Xanadu). Jason claims that Michael molested him, quickly upending the teacher’s life and turning the town against the gay couple. Julia Ormond provides a shrewd performance as a lesbian lawyer trying to discern the truth amid the subtle homophobia of neighbors, the suspicions of Michael’s coworkers, and Daniel’s doubts about his partner’s innocence after the investigation reveals a secret from the past.
