When studies show that residents of planet Zotz are causing the depletion of their ozone layer with unseemly “big feelings,” the culprits are sent to Earth to cure themselves through heartbreak. The three lovely but awkward aliens dodge government agents, needy human exes, and the treacherous allure of cheesecake in their quest to find, and subsequently part with, a human companion. A hilarious commentary on queer culture, as well as an homage to early sci-fi classics (with a touch of Ed Wood), writer-director Madeleine Olnek’s first feature is as campy as they come.
