Jessie’s got it bad for her best friend Jamie. When Jamie announces she is moving to New York, the pressure is on for Jessie to declare her feelings. Everyone seems to know Jessie’s secret—except Jamie—and they offer up sympathy and advice, occasionally in musical form. When Jamie tries to make Jessie notice her with some misguided sleeping around, both of them learn more about their friendship and love than they had expected. Writer-director Wendy Jo Carlton (HANNAH FREE, SLGFF 2010) offers this fresh take on the relationships that mean so much at the brink of adulthood, set to a soundtrack of lesbian favorites.
